Agape Baptist Church (ABC) of Washington, DC, is seeking a Bi-Vocational Pastor to lead in proclaiming the true gospel written in God's Word; reaching individuals for Christ and fostering spiritual growth; engaging with surrounding community; adding to the growth of our church family. We are diligently praying for God to reveal the man He entrusted to lead this church in reaching out to all ages, impacting the metropolitan DC area for Christ our Lord and Savior.

We are a 32-year-old Filipino-International congregation, affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware, and the Montgomery Baptist Association. We are a community of approximately 70 believers worshiping Christ our Lord, proclaiming the gospel of salvation to all people, ministering to persons in need and growing in Christ likeness.

Applicants must be ordained and affirm the 2000 Baptist Faith & Message. 

Pastoral experience and seminary education from one of the SBC seminaries preferred.

1. Guide the planning and conduct of the worship services
2. Prepare and deliver sermons and defend the Bible as being without error
3. Lead in observance of ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper
4. Oversee the filling of the pulpit on any Sunday when not present to ensure doctrinal consistency
5. Guide the church body in an effective program of witnessing to the lost and develop strategies that reach out into the community
6. Lead and guide the Church Council, and Committees in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the total church program
7. Serve as the Ex officio member of all committees

Mileage reimbursement arrangement 

24 hours work week expectation and additional time arrangements

Pastoral Candidate and his wife (if married) must pass a thorough background check.
